At Camp Seggie there is a lot to do. We play a bunch of games and are always busy. Each camper gets to create their own adventure by selecting Electives (Skills) that appeal to them.
We have two types of Electives. Each camper selects one Major Elective which lasts all week. This is basically an in-depth skill which is chosen on registration day. Then for each afternoon our campers get to pick a different Minor Elective, these are chosen daily.
Major Electives - Choose one Major for the week. They run nearly an hour each morning. - Swimming Lessons - Receive certified training and earn your next level.
- Scrapbooking - Take digital photos of your camp experience and scrapbook them.
- Soccer - Receive coaching and participate in daily matches.
- Basketball - Receive coaching and participate in daily matches.
- Ball Hockey - Receive coaching and participate in daily matches.
- Golf - Receive coaching and play at real courses.
- Music - Receive coaching and work towards recording or a big performance.
- Dance - Receive coaching and work towards a big performance.
- Drama - Receive coaching and work towards a big production.
- Rock Climbing - Learn how to repel, belay and speed climb.
- Extreme Discipleship - Get into your Bible big time with our Discipleship Director.
- Fashion - Design and make your own clothing by learning the art of sewing.
- Puppets - Receive coaching and work towards a big production.
- Painting - Find a nice spot on the deck, pull out your canvas and get creative.
- Video - Work with our media staff in developing video for Camp Seggie.
- Newspaper - Find the scoop, write your story and help publish the Daily Seggie News.
- Book Club - Join others in reading and discussing an age appropriate novel.
- Gardening - Find the right spot, dig up the sod, plant and care for a garden.
